Mozilla Labs has recently released that Jetpack has got the version 0.6. In this version, Jetpack comes with two major APIs one of which is a secure preferences system and the other allows coders to add and modify menus.
Jetpack is the experimental project which firstly began in May 2009. Mozilla Labs created Jetpack with the aim at providing developers with HTML, JavaScript and CSS standard web skills to make add-ons for Mozilla’s popular open source browser, Firefox.
Jetpack 0.6 is promised to offer new APIs and numerous bug fixes in comparison with its older versions.
Jetpack seems to join the race with Chrome as a version of Jetpack was launched right after Google opened up support for extensions in its Chrome browser. Mozilla hopes that the iteration of Jetpack will be able to make the installation process easier for coders.
