It is rumored that the Nintendo 3DS wouldn’t  be introduced in North American until March but Kotaku announces that GameStop is making sure users with the new game console by letting them to preorder now with a $50 deposit.
The new console manufactures 3D effects without requiring users to wear special glasses. It is equipped with a 3.53-inch widescreen LCD display with 800×240 pixel resolution (400 pixels are allocated for each eye to enable 3D viewing). It also sports 3D Depth Slider that allows users to adjust the level of the 3D effects or turn off the effect completely, relying on personal preference. It is difficult to explain why users want a 3D game system just to switch the 3D effects.
Apart from the 3DS games, the console will provide backward compatibility with DS and DSi software, as well as letting 3D movie viewing. It’s unsure if all GameStop stores are providing the preorder option but it never hurts to ask if users might want to give their local store a call because the 3DS might not remain on the shelves for too long.
