imagesQualcomm has proudly announced to soon release the first smartbook in the world which is powered by its Snapdragon microprocessor. The device will be produced by Lenovo and run on AT&T’s wireless network in the United States.

The smartbook is said to offer such similar features as current smartphone and netbook but outstanding features of the device include a larger display and a full keyboard. Furthermore, Lenovo’s smartbook also has Adobe Flash 10 on an ARM-based processor which can play video in high definition.

Lenovo’s smartbook is said to be as thick as a Palm Pre and offers a surprisingly big battery, which is mostly for supporting the display. 84fsmartbook-131109

The latest device of Lenovo offers a user interface which has six active widgets. Furthermore, the machine also synchronizes your e-mail, Facebook status, the web, and all sorts of other stuff.

Lenovo believes its smartbook will be such competitors in laptop market as it can change the experience of using the Internet and offers full keyboard and a full-sized screen.
However, people are still confused of considering the smartbook of Lenovo a smartphone or not.

Up to now, it could be easily seen that Qualcomm is heavily promoting its ARM-based Snapdragon chips for deployment in mobile devices for data applications as all computer shipments will soon be surpassed by smartphone shipments in 2011.

Besides that, wireless operators are also reported to have increased sharply their subsidies for data-rich devices.
