According to Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer’s announcement in Monday’s conference call with analysts, there are over 35,000 dedicated iPad apps in the App Store. Since September media event, it had increased up to 30,000 iPad apps, demonstrating that Apple has gained 1,000 new iPad apps each week.
After referencing those 35,000 apps, Apple CEO Steve Jobs stated that Apple’s app bring a lot of benefits to the firm, especially when other rivals begin to launch Android-based devices to market.
He also added that most of the video on the web was available in HTML 5. The iTunes media store and over 35,000 Apps in the App Store for iPad make the product become better for consumers; however, it is difficult to match them with each other.
In additon, Mr. Jobs suggested that with 35,000 Apps on the App store, the new launch of tablets can lead to the zero. Furthermore, the combination with a 7” display was not big enough for an appropriate interface. He called such a form factor is too large for a smartphone and too small for a tablet which may be dead on arrival when they approach to the market.
