How to add birthdays to iCal manually

In the previous time, I showed you how to keep track of your significant events in Mac by adding birthdays to iCal from the Address book. And in this article, I will continue to show you how to add birthdays to iCal manually.

Step 1

Download iCal and install it in your computer.

Step 2

Run the program. In the program’s interface, under File menu, choose New Calendar and the Untitled classification appears on the left side of the screen. Enter Birthdays in the Untitled space.

Step 3

After entering the birthdays, your newly made Birthdays classification will be highlighted. In the calendar, choose the date of the first birthday you want to enter.

Step 4

Click on the date you want to select to open the New Event window. Click and replace the word New Event with the name of the birthday boy/girl. Check in the box next to all-day to show that the birthday is a day long event, click done. The birthday will be displayed on your calendar.

Step 5

For each birthday of your friend you want to enter, you repeat step 4.
