imagesIt is such bad news for users of Snow Leopard that they may encounter a bug that prevents them from opening some downloaded files simultaneously. Some users have reported that they can open only some files among series of files they want to open whereas the operating system provides no error message. If they try to open them again, only one file is open more. They have to redo many times until all files are open. So uncomfortable!!!

It was reported that only 60- to 75-percent of the total number of files succeeds open.

The file formats encountering the problem include image files such as JPEG, GIF, and Photoshop format and PDFs, though Word documents were also mentioned.

Some users have reported that the issue may be related to files being flagged by the system as quarantined. Of all the suggested causes, this one has gained the most support, and others have posited that Snow Leopard’s stronger security settings are at the root of the overly restrictive quarantine attributes.

In case you do not want to work in Terminal, you can try “Open groups of files in one window” to “Open all files in one window” under Preview’s Preferences; at least one user found this to be an effective workaround.

If you also face this bug and have another way to fix the problem, please share with others in our forum.wareseeker.com.
