1FrostWire is an open-source P2P client which uses the Gnutella network and is heavily built on the popular LimeWire application. With this client, you can download everything you want with some interesting functions such as No time limits, No bandwidth limits and No content limits for free.

FrostWire supports over 15 billion files available. With this tool, you can download any free music or movie you want from the Internet to your computer in order to burn them into the CDs.

When users of FrostWire use this tool, their experience differs in two ways. The first one is that the code is actually based on the paid version of the popular P2P client – LimeWire Pro, so you do not have to worry about the simultaneous download restrictions. Moreover, the tool’s interface has changed from green to blue and has been slightly improved in order to befit its name. The tabs have rounded corners, and there are also two more additions. The connections controls your outgoing and incoming connections by the host name, but also supply the information about the bandwidth, the vendor and version used, etc. There’s also a community chat included in this client.

According to the test results, the built-in media player in FrostWire didn’t work with MP3s or MPGs, although those files worked well in LimeWire and elsewhere. This application also comes bundled with the ASK toolbar, but you can select to opt out of that during the installation. FrostWire can be considered a child of LimeWire, many people have tried to download with FrostWire and they find it fast compared to LimeWire. It’s nearly impossible to distinguish FrostWire and LimeWire although there’s a big plus lying in the lack of ads.

However, if you use both Windows Live Messenger and Trilliant at the same time, you should not use this client. In addition, if you are using LimeWire, you do not need to download FrostWire, but if your LimeWire does not do its downloading operation well, this can be an alternative for you because most ISPs aren’t yet that familiar with FrostWire.

In conclusion, with the comprehensive features including faster download speed, no spyware, no adware, faster torrent speed, friendly online chat rooms, bittorrent support, etc, your downloading is actually made faster with this open-source P2P client.
