On Monday Google has just introduced a new Search app for the iPad that includes instant search and preview panes to its results. Whether consumers are doing research and compare results or exploring beautiful imagery, new features will make the app more interactive, more visual and to help them find what they want more easily.
Google supposed that the updated app is more interactive because it consists of the addition of instant search results, or results that appear as you’re typing your query. In the meant time, the preview pane supplies a glimpse of the page in a slide-out window to the right of the search results; slide them in and out as customers peruse their results.
Moreover, the app also makes search more visual. Tapping an image will give a carousel that allows consumers swipe via various pictures and tap to make larger. With the updated app, it’s easier to view and manage consumers’ search history. In addition, they can swipe via “snapshots” of pages you’ve visited, categorized by search term.
Last but not least, Google has included a magnifying glass tool to help find the things you’re looking for on a Web page. When you tap the tool, it is easy to search for a specific section of a page. It’s also added the +1 button to let recommend pages. In the apps menu, consumers can look for various popular Google services. For instance, when they click the Gmail icon, they’ll be taken right to their email, or when customers tap the Google+ logo, it will take them to their news stream. The app is supported on iOS 4 or later.
The new upgrade of Google is expected by a lot of consumers who owns an iPad.
