Galaxy Nexus is the initial phone to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but now it’s got a bug that randomly drops the handset volume, confirmed from Google and Samsung.

Early consumers in Europe have been reporting issues with the phone’s volume level: the device’s audio volume will drop after the device’s hardware volume controls become unresponsive. Early Galaxy Nexus customers have been flooding user support forums over the problem. Now both Samsung and Google have asserted that they’re aware of the issue and will fix it soon in the coming time.

The bug is particularly problematic for listening to music or utilizing other media, or relying on alarms or other audio alerts.
Neither company clarified the reason of the issue whether it is in hardware or software. Some retailers have promised customers that this fix will be repaired before the end of the month.
